Legacy Gunworks & Engraving was established in Kaysville Utah in 2018. Our founder, Alex Castillo, has a passion for the outdoors and a love for shooting sports. He has combined these interests with his innovative use of laser technology to form Legacy Gunworks & Engraving.

Our gunsmith services will keep your firearms in top condition, including cleaning, performance parts upgrades, and diverse metal and stock finishes, all while the latest laser technology brings beautiful, customized, and affordable engravings to everyone.
we are FFL 7 licensed and SOT approved - Manufacturer and Certified Gunsmith. We are a member of the NSSF, FEGA, NRA, MDF, and RMEF and support multiple local gun ranges.
We are proud to be a family owned company and a contributor to the regional economy. Our Family Charitable Fund contributes annually to Weber State University and many charities including the Utah Food Bank, the American Diabetes Association, and the Alzheimer’s Disease Research Foundation.

Gunsmith
Our gunsmith services include basic firearm repair and maintenance, performance parts installation, scope and sight installation, restorations, Firearm appraisal, and stock finishes.
Engraving
Fiber Laser and CO2 laser technology enables the engraving of most metals, plastics and polymers, leather and stone. Customized engraving at different depth levels is easily accomplished. Firearm serialization and NFA Trusts Are Done in compliance to ATF requirements. We also offer stippling services for polymer items.
Metal Finish
Legacy Gunworks & Engraving provides metal finishing services, as well, including cold bluing, nickel plating, Cerakote*, Duracoat*, paint filling, and Hydro-Dipping. Metal finishing is offered mostly to firearms, though special requests can be considered.
Etching/Annealing
Our laser technology can also accomplish metal, glass, stone, and metal annealing. Any design, be it text, a logo, or a picture, can be etched into metal, glass, or stone, and is an economical alternative to engraving.

I inherited a shotgun from my Grandpa and wanted bring it back up to par with the quality of new. Legacy Gunworks was referred to me from a good friend and I can say I am very pleased. They had the gun a total of 3 weeks and did a complete wood restoration, along with restoring all the metal. This gun looks as if it came off the shelf like this. I am so pleased with the work. They recommended I replaced a few parts and sent pictures of the parts in question. Very quick response time, and very professional in every way. If I ever have a gun need Alex and Andrew will be the first people I call. I can tell they know their stuff and I could not be more impressed. I will be bringing future work to have some engraving done. So happy I found them.
